1st Golf Indoor Polish Championship

We have completed the 1st Golf Indoor Polish Championship, the first in Poland and one of the first in Europe tournament on TrackManes. The competition, organized by Studio Gwiażdzsta 5 in Warsaw, attracted 120 players who played 4 rounds over 4 weeks on golf courses around the world.

In more than a dozen commercial centers with simulators all over Poland, as well as on private simulators in identical conditions, players competed for the title of best among Pro, among gross amateurs – among men and women, and in two net categories among men and women.

Players from all over Poland took part in the competition, including well-known and well-liked golf ambassadors – Jurek Dudek, Rafa Bryndal or Karol Okrasa, who has just started his golf adventure. For four weeks, the golfers played the Budersand course in Germany, Quail Hollow in the US, the host of The Open at Royal Birkdale in the UK and Bear Dance in the US. The courses were not easy, as the players themselves attest. The field settings also affected the competition, and as a result, some rounds were quite emotional. Nevertheless, some players managed to play rounds below par pol.

Already at the very beginning, in the first round, a phenomenal result was achieved by Mateusz Korzuch, playing 5 strokes below par, taking the lead among the Pro. Among the amateurs, Jan jr. Szmidt turned out to be unrivaled, playing -3 at the time. Junior Kinga Kuśmierska recorded one stroke below par and thus confidently took the leading position among the Ladies. Qualification changed several times, with some players, such as Oskar Zaborowski, playing the entire tournament evenly, while others recorded very low and then immediately afterwards far too high scores. The leaders from the first round mostly stayed in the top 3 in their categories all the time.

The settlement came in the round on Bear Dance, which was best handled by Kalinowe Pole amateur Kamil Nowak, playing three strokes under par, but this did not allow him to take the lead over the tournament’s best Jan Jr. Szmidt, who finished the entire tournament with a gross score of 287 strokes (with a 12-stroke advantage to the next male amateur in the standings). Among women, the best gross score was achieved by the unrivaled Kinga Kuśmierska with a result of 297 strokes. The same score was recorded by Oskar Zaborowski and it is he who triumphs in the Pro category.

In the net category in the lower hcp 0-20 group, Michal Zawistowski is the clear leader, and among the ladies Kinga Kuśmierska (however, she was not awarded in this category as she won in the gross category), so the first place belongs to Aleksandra Wójcikowska. In the group 20.1-36, the first place was determined by countback, the winner was Bartlomiej Bolek, ahead of Patryk Mazurkiewicz, and among the ladies the best was Ewa Wójcikowska
